Revisiting Azeroth

A month ago I talked about the many games I like to play.

Since then I have completed the Diablo III Darkening of Tristram event, and completed Starcraft II Wings of Liberty campaign.

Continue to do the daily chore of Neverwinter prayers for my army of characters, without actually playing the game whatsoever.

The Baldur's Gate saga, Dungeon Siege, and Starcraft I campaign will have to wait, because eldest brother brought my World of Warcraft game time cards back during Chinese New Year, so I am back to Azeroth. ^_^

logging in after a six months hiatus

Oh, I upgraded to the latest Battle for Azeroth expansion during 2018 year end sales, but I have been playing old contents so far anyway.

Wanted to complete two grindy tasks before I move on to the latest expansion, namely the reputation grind for the water strider mount, and the fishing achievement to unlock level 3 fishing shack for garrison in the Warlords of Draenor expansion.

Both of the two grindy tasks involved in-game fishing, so much so that wifey asked me "fishing again?" and I jokingly replied that "yea, don't you know that World of Warcraft is a fishing game?" =P

But I am finally done with those two tasks! So I am moving on to new stuff, woohoo!

Going in with my Alliance character first, will want to try the Horde side as well since they are on different zone. That, of course, is another item on the "so many games, so little time" list...

Inside out

Good looking people are everywhere. Beautiful ladies, handsome guys.

I am not one of them, I am absolutely fine with that, and I have nothing against them.

I am just a normal heterosexual man, so I like looking at pretty ladies, the more the better! =P

You good looking people be grateful to your parents, plastic surgeons, and/or cosmetic products... =P

The power to turn heads is both good and bad, depends on situation and the kind of person you are.

Personally I don't like to draw attention, let me stay low profile, thank you very much.

And for me, natural is beauty, just the real stuff please.

Of course, it's the inner beauty that counts.

Physical beauty will fade with time, we all age and grow old.

Let's hope we age gracefully, and healthily.

I pick being ugly but healthy over being good looking but sickly anytime.

Good looking or not, invest and build your inner beauty, your kindness, your friendliness, your strength of character.

Those will last you the whole life, even when thick layer of cosmetic can no longer make you look any nicer.

And there are just people who are like me, who doesn't care about the outer shell of a shallow person but care instead for what's inside.

If you bare your inside out and still shine, that's the kind of person who attracts me for more than just a glance, that's the kind of person who I consider worth knowing.

开工大…

今天我开工啦！开工大吉！

情人老婆仔特地为我准备了一袋开工吉祥物具：装有写了开工吉祥语的红纸的红包、两粒柑、一罐年饼。

红包我就放在屏幕下，两粒柑就放在红包上咯。

老婆仔说年饼是要请同事吃，但反交际、反社会的我只是强逼一位自己送上门来的同事吃而已，应该算做到了吧？

唔，我也忘了吃那两粒柑哦，今天很忙…

先说今天一早到公司，竟然还有有遮盖的超级贵宾停车位，呵呵！

这些车位我平时到公司时都已经停满车了的，今天一样是七点前几分钟到，竟然还会有位，嘿嘿。

好的开始！

到办公位一开电脑就是一大堆的电邮。

我这命贱的人几乎放假的每天早上一起来就是先查看和清理工作电邮了喔，还这么多的？

真是的。

然后仔细的看后就发现原来是开工大棘哦，棘手问题一摞摞，咚锵咚锵咚咚锵！

还好还好，我可以应付的，公司请我就是来解决问题的，要保持对的态度。

然后就开会、和开会、和开那一个总是不能准时完的会咯…

开会就是开工大激了，又刺激，又一点点小激气那种。

还好还好，工作就是这样的，要保持好的态度。

开会迟了，所以在公司食堂吃午餐，然后就开工大急咯！

匆匆忙忙，那么多刺激又有点棘手的问题要解决，时间不够用，好急好急。

还没有时间上厕所就已经到了应该离开公司避免塞车的时间了。

快快上个厕所，好急好急，开工大（尿）急哦！

回到家又做了两个小时才收工，真的是开工大讥咯…

才开工第一天就毁了我闲懒达人的名誉，会被人讥笑的啊！

算了算了，要保持良好的态度。

再猪多一天

原本农历新年只是想要拿除夕一天假而已，因为大哥和弟弟回来过年，在除夕午餐吃团圆饭。

然后感到些同侪压力，不要破坏市场，所以决定整个星期不做工啦。

过后有朋友分享开工吉日的日期，越老越迷信的我也选个吉日来开工。

幸好没有只拿一天假星期四就开工，因为那天和我的生肖相冲。

星期五虽然是开工大吉日，但吉时和我平时工作的时间差很远，要拿半天假才到吉时，算了吧。

我知道，有风水大师说打开笔记型电脑，送个电邮什么意思意思就可以的。

但我就是有种要做就做好来的臭脾气，对我而言，我工作是在办公室不是在家里的，我的工作也不是发个电邮如此而已的。

我要如常的情况下开工、上班、工作，这样我心里比较安妥。

才不要我的工作变成是在家里发有的没有的电邮那样…

今天星期一只是中吉，而明天是大吉，吉时又是早上七到九点那时辰，正如我意！

所以我今天还是在放假，明天才开工，呵呵！

喜欢简单生活的我，可以宅在家里看看书、吃吃零食、玩玩电脑游戏、悠悠闲闲安安静静的过就很完美了。

新年和朋友的那两个聚会，让我再次体会到，自己是反社会、反社交的。

让孤僻的我今天在家里做猪多一天，吃喝玩乐、看书睡觉，准备明天开工吧！

Finally...

Ever since I returned from England and moved into the current home, I have wanted to update the address on my national identity card.

Today, almost twelve years later, I finally got it done. slacker point +1

The slacker point thing aside, it's actually not for the lack of trying.

Over the years I have been there many times, that building practically has no parking space for the public. The multi-storey car park is just for the employees, and they even barred three-quarter of the open parking spaces, leaving less than twenty spaces for the public.

And there is no public car park nearby, since illegal parking is not my thing, all those times I tried to get this address change done, every single time I gave up after making a few rounds trying to look for a parking space.

Today, wifey dropped me off, went home while I spent two hours mostly waiting and bored out of my mind, then came picked me up after I was done and gave her a call.

There were three different number series and two alphabet series on going in parallel, and people have to go to different counter depending on which step in the process they are on, meaning their number can be called a few times throughout the process.

So I have no idea the actual number of people before me, but for the queue I was on, based on that number series, there were 50 numbers before mine. Two hours for me to go through the whole process, so less than 3 minutes per person, actually not too bad, if only they have more counters to process more in parallel.

Still plenty of room for improvement, can definitely be done faster, more efficiently and more conveniently.

Oh well, should have brought a book.

Also, if I have done it twelve years ago, I would have a younger looking photo on my identity card... =P

立春

今天立春，是己亥年了。

今天开始到明年立春前出世的宝宝属猪。

十个天干配十二个地支，凑出六十个干支，己亥是第三十六个。

天干： 甲、乙、丙、丁、戊、己、庚、辛、壬、癸。

地支： 子、丑、寅、卯、辰、巳、午、未、申、酋、戌、亥。

地支也是华人的十二生肖啦， 所以： 子（鼠）、丑（牛）、寅（虎），如此类推。

「己」过后是「庚」，「亥」过后是「子」，所以明年就是庚子年咯。

有没有学到新知识？

其实天干和地支又分阴和阳，还有配土（湿、燥）、木、水、火、金，但我没有认真去研究过所以不要误导别人，呵呵！ =P

虽然还是除夕，先祝大家农历新年快乐啦！ ^_^

Pure joy

Eldest brother and younger brother back for Chinese New Year. =)

My niece and nephew, other than irresistibly adorable, have very contagious laughter.

Younger brother and probably more importantly, his wife, have done a fantastic job bringing up such polite, friendly and proper kids.

Okay, maybe the youngest nephew is still quite a handful now, but I am sure eventually he will be as fine as his two elder siblings.

Lovely kids, them all. ^_^
