It's All About Packaging

A lady colleague's birthday today.

Since she asked so blatantly whether or not we are going to give her flower like we did last year, no choice lor. =P

Batu Lancang, Sri Nibong, Bayan Baru, iAvenue, and finally Kampung Jawa. We had to go to five places just to get a sunflower! She better appreciate our gesture, especially the driver's.

I was ready to give up on sunflower and just get a lily instead on our third stop, but the driver persisted. For the driver, it's sunflower or nothing.

Well, the lone sunflower simply didn't look at all attractive on its own, even after the florist had thrown in some decorative leaves it still didn't look all that nice.

But after the florist wrapped it in four or more layers of paper, it's like... wow.

Like magic nia.

As usual we just had to pull a little prank, so a photo was taken, printed, signed and given to the birthday girl. Said to be our gift since we couldn't get a real flower. I think she bought it.

We then gave her the real flower. =)

Happy birthday Lily, hope you have a blast!

Sadly, often the raw truth is not as pleasing as the packaged good. Packaging is a skill I need to learn, much like how to do the "Hollywood slide" one of my colleagues is so good at.
